ANZAC DAY

Anzac Day is a very special day for the people who died in world war one and world war two. It started in 1916.Anzac Day is on the 25^th of April because that is when most of the soldiers died in Gallipoli.    By Thomas

Anzac Day is remembering the soldiers who died. People have a ceremony. The soldiers talk at the ceremony. They play trumpets. They wake up at five in the morning and they go to the parade. They wear poppies on their shirts.   By Tai.

Here are some descriptions about Ohope Beach.

I can see the beautiful bright blue sea. Whale island has a hump like a camel. The sand is all squishy through your fingers. Sophie

The grass is lovely, bright, cutty long grass. The waves are crashing in lines. The chair is sitting like a person looking at the sea.   Rosa

GREAT REPORTS FROM 2011

At Papamoa beach oil is appearing on the sand  and the birds, bugs and fish are dying, The problem is Rena has crashed. It is heart breaking. The captain of the ship as gone to jail maybe for a year. It is poisonous. If people breath in the fumes they will get sick.  By Alexia

The oil came from a big ship called Rena. All the oil is surrounded by the ship. Oil is going to Papamoa, the Mount and Motiti Island. Animals are getting killed from the oil spill. I feel sorry for the animals. The people are angry because it is hitting their beaches. My Mum and Dad have registered to help clean up if it hits Ohope
Beach.

Yesterday, after school  there was a bus crash. It was 20 minutes out of town. 36 people got injured. A logging truck fell to the side. One person was really hurt. She was 8 and she had to go to Auckland hospital.    By    Te Amai

In London there was a royal wedding. It showed the whole world. The Princess name was Katherine and the Princes name was William. It was on April the 29^th on Friday when it happened. We hope they live happily ever after. By Sienna.

 

There was a tornado in Auckland. It destroyed shopping malls and schools and heaps of things. One person died and fourteen people got injured because they might have been trapped in their car.   By Byron

 On April the third, on Sunday there was the mini plane that had a flight but it was rainy. Marina won a prize. You needed to draw a picture.  She got a ribbon but she had to give it back to the man.It was a famous flight, the family came. There was a man called Mr Allison. By Jackson

In Japan there was a terrible earthquake and Tsunami. People died, cars broke and whole houses got cracks in them. Cars smashed together. They looked like monsters kicked them and blew them in the water. Thousands of people were killed in Japan.
